Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, the volunteer-led organisation dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community, has unveiled their new and improved support guide. This comprehensive guide is packed with information, support, and links to LGBTQIA+ organisations, ‘making it an essential tool for anyone seeking assistance or understanding’.
The group operates a weekly Pride Hub in Regent Circus, where visitors can access resources, engage with volunteers and learn about local LGBTAIQ+ initiatives. The support guide is distributed at the Pride Hub, in libraries and across the community, and the charity says at the heart of this initiative is a dedication to education and supporting the community.
Phoenix, Community Engagement Manager, said “This guide offers a wealth of information on topics such as mental health, the history of the charity, and community resources. Whether you’re an ally, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, or simply want to learn more, this guide is a valuable tool for fostering understanding and promoting acceptance.”
The release of the support guide is part of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride’s ongoing efforts to champion diversity and inclusivity within the county, and is now available as a physical copy and a free download on the Swindon & Wiltshire Pride website. Organisations can request physical copies by emailing chair@swindonwiltshirepride.co.uk
Paul, Chairperson, said “This guide is a result of our hard working volunteers and is an essential lifeline to our community. Offering an easy and accessible way of accessing valuable information, this is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
