Pride can only happen with the generous support of its volunteers and we are always looking for people to help. We have various roles that we are looking for people to help us with, both at the event itself and throughout the year, as detailed below.
If you would be interested in helping make Pride happen, then please contact us via the below form or at Steward Manager, Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, 207 Ferndale Road, Swindon, SN2 1BY
Alternatively register your interest to volunteer on our Do-it.org page here >
This can involve anything from walking vehicles on or off site, putting up fences, moving stock, providing information to people about the event etc.
You will be required to walk along with the parade keeping people a safe distance from the centre and side of the road, there is always a real carnival atmosphere.

A vital and very sociable role; keeping an eye on the general public and looking out for their well-being, clearing litter, informing head stewards of any trip hazards, providing information to the general public etc.
A fixed position within the park would be assigned to you for a period of time, you would be swapped for a different position later on (depending on how long you can give on the day); there are only a few of these roles in key positions within the park.
As it says, walking vehicles off site; the more people we have to do this the quicker On/off we can clear the stalls holders from the park ready for the next stage of the day.
We require a couple of fit people to be based at the information point, they will be assigned errands during the day; this will be very varied. We also need a couple of people to take over from people with specific roles to enable them to have a break. As well as a few volunteers to make team and coffee and distribute lunches.
Walking vehicles on and off site, taking down fences, a bit of litter picking and packing up anything else that needs to be removed from the park.
Help decorating and general setting up, money collection during the events and clearing up after fundraisers

PRS for Music licences the use of copyright music across the UK, giving businesses and organisations the legal permission they need to play the music they want.
These licences ensure that music publishers, songwriters and composers are fairly rewarded with royalties so they can keep making music - and mean that we’re able to support music at events like this.
